Happy 4th of July

Our neighborhood had it's 2nd annual 4th of July bike parade. The kids and I biked down to the front gates to meet the other troops. We were surprised to see we would have a fire truck and ambulance leading our parade! The kids got a cupcake before they got started and they needed it...it was HOT! The lightning started in the distance, but we made it home in time!

Not a good feeling to be riding a lightning rod down the road!

Our friends from Virginia were kind enough to drive Scott's Civic down to Florida for us. We appreciate it very much so now I can leave the house when Scott is at work! Jamie, Jen and Landon are staying with us until Tuesday and we're having a great time as you can see from the pictures.

Scott is holding Isaac and Chloe up in the deep end...he's under the water!

Granny decided it was too hot so she'd take a dip in the spa with the jets on to soothe her aching muscles.

Time to test out the paddle boat. The 'boys' tried it out before piling the children into it...good idea!

The kids returned safely and are ready to do it again!

Had to take advantage of the sunset!

We were not sure where to go for fireworks and got information from Scott's coworkers, but Ben's mom told us there are people in the neighborhood that shoot fireworks over the lake and beyond. We all sat down in our screened porch and then we were amazed at the show. From start to finish they went on for over three hours. Our house was the place to be for fireworks!
