Bike Ride

After a dip in the pool we went out for an adventure. We have some amazing trails near our house. It's a little scary ...I know there are gators just waiting for us to fall off the trail into the swamp. Scott pointed out something to me as we were riding and hit a log and fell..thank God he didn't fall in. We had a few spills some of the sand was thick. I am a bug magnet so I got a few mosquito bites and ants! You can't take me anywhere. Almost a 2 hour ride..kids were motivated for dinner and ice cream.

Saturday Project With Isaac

Isaac has been wanting a rubberband gun for a few weeks so I told him the steps he needed to take like design, materials, etc.

He wanted it bad enough to go through with his part so we went to Home Depot and bought enough supplies for two guns (one for Chloe) and made an afternoon out of it.

It didn't go smoothly due cracking wood and a rusty/inexperience carpenter but it turned out great. It has three triggers for some automatic action and still needs to be painted but here are some pictures:

The boys had a terrible game today. They just didn't seem to show up including Isaac...full moon?

Chloe had a great practice. She seems to be getting more comfortable. Just a matter of time before she is a great player. She is a natural athlete.

Saturday, September 12th

Lacrosse Season has officially started!

Isaac has been practicing for weeks with his Spartan's Team. Our old coach has moved on and our assistant coach from Spring has stepped. Coach Art is our head coach now and Coach Scott (yes Daddy) is our assistant coach. We have a great group of boys this year.

Their first game was this weekend. Isaac finally scored!!! He got TWO goals! The end score was 18-4 so we have a huge win under us now. I wasn't able to attend the game due to Chloe's practice. I was very sad to miss his goals, but I will see some I'm sure before the season is over.

Chloe is playing a form of lacrosse it's called Chumash. If you'd like to read about it here is their website...

Basically it teaches the kids lacrosse skills without any of the sports contact. Boys and girls play together too. Our first practice was this Saturday. They will only practice skills and scrimmage each other a couple times a week. So far Chloe is the only girl, but her coach has said there's another girl signed up so we'll see.

I took a few pictures of Chloe. I picked up the wrong camera and the battery died, but I did get a couple pictures of her.

She's TOO cute...eh!

She got a stick from them for joining, but likes her 'girls' stick better. She's one of kind.
Next week I'll miss Isaac's game again, but after that it looks like I'll make at least part of his games or all of them I hope.

Isaac's Birthday Party Friday, September 4th

We finally got around to celebrating Isaac's birthday with his friends. He chose to go to the movies with a couple friends. It worked out nicely since Chloe's best friend was having her sleepover birthday party so I took the boys while Chloe went to Renee's party.
