Kids at Daytona

Day 3 On The Road to our new home....

We woke up in Daytona ready to enjoy a few hours in the sun. It started with granola bars in our bellies and ready for the pool. Isaac was happy to jump in first and give us a report on the temperature of the water..
"The waters AWESOME!"

It was pretty quite for a while with only one other person at the pool swimming laps then once it got crowded we headed to the beach.

We collected mini oysters or just mini shells...we watched them dig back into the sand when the waves came up. It's easy to entertain us sometimes!

After our fun adventure was over in Daytona we headed to Orlando area. We went to Scott's co-workers house to drop off our U-haul then to go to the walk thru. This was the first time the kids got to see the house and they couldn't wait to come back to get in the pool! We stayed the night with Scott's co-worker (they moved up from Maryland a couple weeks ago). Thank you Smith Family!!!

Day 2 On The Road

Here is Scott getting the U-haul ready to roll into Florida. Georgia seemed nice, but we were ready for Florida.

Chloe was a bit tired and maybe needed a little more rest. Isaac was very excited!

Passing Daddy in the U-haul...

We padded our trip with an extra day in case of an emergency so our extra day was spent at The Plaza in Daytona Beach. We had never been to Daytona Beach so we were very excited to enjoy some beach, sun and fun!

Some pictures from the hotel room
Nice view and Chloe on the phone with Granny

First time to see a flock of Pelican's heading towards us. We were on the 11th floor so we had a great view of everything! The pelicans were a lot of fun to watch...very cool birds!

What can you say about the pool...AWESOME!

The beach was warmer than in Virgina that's for sure! Scott even managed to grab the camera to get a picture of me...thanks!

The kids loved all the waves and so did daddy!

That evening we were very hungry after a long day so we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp to have dinner. We put our name on the list and they said about 10-15 minutes. We were sitting waiting thinking our name would be called at any minute and the girl called out 'Smith...party of 90'! Now go back and read that again...party of 90! We sat there and watched the never ending line of people pass us to get to their table.
I said we need to decide what we want on that menu so when we do get to a table we can order before 90 other orders get in there!

I can say that pound of shrimp was so yummy!!!

DAY 1 ON THE ROAD

Our fist day on the road was a long one, but went great! Scott left his mom's house with the U-haul at 5am. The kids and I left just after 6am. Virginia went by quickly with two sleeping children and then into North Carolina...

We did make a stop here and had breakfast and got out to strech. The kids were happy we stopped at a McDonald's with a play area to get out some of that energy. Although with the past few days they had spent up late with friends and fun nights they probably needed that rest in the car.

South Carolina...

The kids would count down the states as we went through them. We are getting closer!

Georgia...

This was our overnight spot. Time to take a break and relax for the night.
All 4 of us enjoyed the pool here at our hotel. No one else was in it and boy was it nice and warm!

Prep-Time

Getting ready for the move isn't fun. Here's some pictures from the house in Fairfax trying to pack up.

Chloe and I made cookies! Cleaning out the refrigerator is always an adventure. Think everyone we saw the last few days got a piece of what was in there. Thanks for that!

After the truck was loaded up the kids and I headed to the Street's house to drop off a few things. God gave us a nice surprise!

We spent the night at Grandma and Granddad Lambs before we headed out early in the morning. Thanks for feeding us and keeping us for the night! We miss you!
