Isaac's question of the day...

"Do Chipmunks come from Squirrel bellies?"

We got a little snow on Sunday and decided to have some fun! We created a Poker Snowman. We have enough paraphernalia to decorate a Poker army of snowman, but probably not enough snow. PokerStars provided the hat, jacket, shirt and sunglasses. Scott put his book "Pressure Poker" out with the 7 2 off suited cards plus our poker pig and poker chips. The kids helped build and collected the sticks...this was a family effort! After our hard work of building and creating we took the time to white wash each other, have a snowball fight, make snow angels (buns were very cold) and go sledding. As much fun as we had we do hope the snow is over!

Winter Wonderland...
Icicle Anyone?

The 1st one here is much more impressive in person. About 3ft long on our neighbors gutter.
The other is just pretty... icicle on top of Christmas icicle lights.

Happy Valentines Day!

I know it's a day late, but I do hope it was happy. We got to enjoy snow, ice, high winds and school being canceled. Scott ended up home from work on a conference call that lasted 5 hours. The kids kept me busy giving me a concert, playing board games, video games, dolls, computer games, coloring and watching movies. Today school is canceled again, but Chloe's under the weather with a temperature. So far Isaac is keeping busy playing Transformers in his room so should be another day inside staying warm. Cabin Fever will slowly creep up on us, but until then we'll take what mother nature dishes out!

Isaac says I'm a great hair dresser...his new hair-do!
Isaac's quote of the day...
Isaac's class has secret pal's for Valentine's day. Each kid writes a note to their secret pal for a week and drops it on their desk when they are not looking. I asked Isaac (his secret pal happens to be a girl) did 'your girlfriend' see you drop the note on her desk today? "NO WAY...I got the moves babe..I got the moves" as he danced around the room.

This past week Chloe wasn't feeling 100%. She was saying her tummy really hurt and she felt funny. I told her if she had to throw-up then she needed to run to the toilet and do it in there. She looked puzzled so I asked her if she knew what throw-up or vomit meant...she replied NO. I proceeded to explain to her that sometimes when we get sick and our tummy's hurt our stomach then pushes the food back out our mouths and then hopefully into the toilet. Now...Chloe's face is mortified that this would actually happen to any human being. "There's no way I'm gonna do that Momma" ...Needless to say she didn't throw-up and is now a lot better. BTW she did throw-up as a baby, but thank the Lord above she doesn't remember any of that.
Unfortunately Isaac is now sick. Completely different sickness, but nonetheless he's ill.
A mothers work is never done...

Chloe starts off the dinner blessing...
"Dear God,
Thank you for Daniel, Jesus brother...
his name is in the Bible"
Isaac interups and says...
"My name is in the Bible. Thank you God for that...it's awesome...
God thank you for giving your son to us and him falling off the cross..that was nice"
Both kids then say it's Mom's turn now... in my mind I wondered what could I say to top those wonderful prayers..
So I simply said "Thank you Lord for my two wonderful children..." The kids both yell in unison...
"AND DADDY...AMEN".

Our January was wonderful! We started off in the Bahamas spending days in the sun, in the pool, and on the beach. Poker has been good to us...we love our tropical vacations. Having our friends Damon and Heather there has been a blessing too! We have such a great time hanging out with them. Not sure how much longer they will be in the Bahamas, but it has been great!

Both kids lost a tooth this month...Isaac his 3rd and Chloe her 1st. We were out to eat with our friends the Martin's last night and Thomas lost his 1st tooth during dinner! That tooth fairy is mighty busy just in our neighborhood!

Scott and Isaac have been enjoying basketball and there is improvement each week. Scott started in a floor hockey league playing goalie and still plays ice hockey once a week. We got to celebrate both of our Mom's getting one year younger this month. They are both a huge blessing to us and everyone around them. Everyone is happy & healthy and that's all we can ask for!
